I have run a private counselling practice for the last 17 years. My clinical experience includes over 19 years of counselling individuals, couples and families in various contexts. I have developed and facilitated psycho-educational/therapy groups and am currently an Adjunct Professor in the Counselling Psychology Program at Trinity Western University.
In 2000 I completed my second masters degree, a Masters in Counseling (MC) from Trinity Western University. Much of my time in the last 19 years has been spent working with abuse survivors. I have extensive experience in the areas of trauma and abuse and have worked with many clients experiencing PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
I continue to update my training on a regular basis in many different areas, I have been trained in EMDR and OEI (trauma therapies). Also systems training in Satir brief counselling, Lifespan Integration therapy by Peggy Pace and Gordon Neufield attachment with stuck kids. Some of my marital training is in John Gottman’s work and Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused couples therapy. I am a registered member (RCC) of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors; and I adhere to their code of ethics and standards.
